Elements of Pain-based
Care
Goal: Get rid of current pain.
Our pain-based care plans are designed to address the immediate, local issue that is causing the pain you're experiencing.
Part of calming the pain alarm is disrupting the pain cycle that the brains get caught up in when pain is present for extended periods of time. This is one of the key mechanisms that makes chiropractic care so effective at eliminating pain.
Tools used:
- Chiropractic Adjustments
- Laser Therapy
- Electrotherapy (TENS, e-stim)
- Cupping Therapy
- Soft-tissue Therapy
Example of Pain-based Care Plan
- Frequency: 2x/wk for 1-2 weeks, 1x/wk for 4-6 weeks
- Symptom and Functional surveys to track progress
- Session length: 15-30 min
Session example
- laser therapy at site of pain
- soft tissue work of muscles that are causing/exacerbating pain
- adjustments of local joint and full spine

Elements of Wellness
Care
Goal: Efficient Adaptation and Resilience
Wellness Care is designed to keep the momentum gained through rehabilitative care on an upward trend.
Some people call this "maintenance care". We like to call it "optimization care".
Your spine is not just joints, ligaments and tendons stacked together to keep you upright. It's a sensory organ that sends your brain massive amounts of information every second of every day. When your spine is clear of dysfunction, your brain gets the information it needs to adapt to life appropriately.
That is true resilience and health.
Tools used:
- Chiropractic Adjustments
- Soft tissue therapy
- Lifestyle advice
Example of Wellness Care
- 1x/week or 1x/month
- Symptom and Function surveys every 3-6 months
- Session length: 10-15 min
Session example
- adjustments of spine and extremeties
- soft tissue therapy when necessary
